This a letter to my Father who died suddenly on June 9, 2022.
To my Father- my problem solver, my political influence, my faith guide, my financial guru, my prayer buddy, my reality “check-er”, my support & my BIGGEST fan.
Thank you for always being honest & patient. Thank you for your gentle pushes when I fell off course & strong catches when I fell. Thank you for being a WONDERFUL Poppy to your grand minis & for being such an amazing husband to Mom. You were the perfect male role model for us four girls & set the standards quite high. I couldn’t have asked for a better father and I will miss you so much.
I believe your earthly journey was incredibly fruitful & God’s graces were abundant, especially during your trials & tribulations.
I do take comfort in knowing that although your body & soul are temporarily separated- NOTHING separates us from the LOVE of God. Whether in Heaven, on Earth, or somewhere in between, Christ’s followers will always remain the ONE BODY of Christ. With that – Please pray for us here in this Godless world.
I KNOW every time I’m at Mass -we are together. I’m sure many wonder why I’m becoming more of a regular churchgoer these days. Well, if they only knew that Heaven comes to earth during the Mass -they’d try going as frequently as possible too. It’s the BEST waste of time we’ll ever know here on Earth. Of course, I don’t have to tell you this- you already know.
I love you forever, Daddy!
